Our Orientation Day -  Sunday, September 6, 2012

Looking in the mirror, who do I see? Why am I here? Who are these others? The first day brought nervous wonderment about our tasks, our roles, our skills and ourselves.

Monopoli has graffiti and spirit and reality that will teach us much about Italian local culture. The brief visit with the teachers gave us a welcome window into our future classrooms. Calm almost descended. Organizing our goals helped to give clarity to why we are here. I especially liked hearing the full range of reasons each of us had – we are a good group – ready to forge ahead.
