A Bright Sunny Time of Year For Outdoor Classes |

We
are finding that each teacher uses her Global Volunteers differently; today is
a good example of that. Some of us enjoyed the pleasures of interacting
with groups of children, anywhere from 2 to 11 or more students. Four seems to
be the best number for good interaction. Some of us were mostly observers with
limited student interaction but learning along the students about the Victorian
Era; while others were given free rein in their classrooms, a challenge to keep
the kids engaged.
For
the first year students a good icebreaker was asking them simple questions
about themselves. All the students are a delight, warm and welcoming.
Several volunteers are tutoring community members outside of the classroom and
these experiences have been enjoyable for all.
