First Week of Secondary School for These Students

Global Volunteers received a warm welcome on day 1 at the two Monopoli high school campuses. Both sites were filled with enthusiasm as the school year began with guests volunteering from across the U.S., Canada and Australia. At the convent campus there was a spirit of “look who’s here!”

Everyone commented about how polite the students were and expressed a strong sense of family.

There was a lot of giggling and nervousness initially, but the kids ranging from 13-18 years old warmed up quickly and were engaged in conversation.

They marveled at photos of “Canadian paradise” and offered both a personal city tour and soccer game for global volunteer team members.
